Judge Makes Ruling on Newtown Lawsuit Against Gun Maker
No one will forget December 14, 2012, the day when Adam Lanza fatally shot 20 children and 6 teachers at Sandy Hook Elementary School. This mass shooting ignited the debate once again over the need for more gun control, an assault weapons ban, universal background checks, and tighter state and federal laws. Since then, several families have filed lawsuits, and 2 days ago a judge announced his decision on the lawsuit against the gun maker. This is a slippery slope, and while I don’t think anything will come of this lawsuit, I’m afraid this will open up the proverbial Pandora’s Box, and will encourage more attempts to strip away the LEGAL rights of law abiding, American citizens, who should be protected by the Second Amendment.
