May 20th & 21st was a busy weekend for Smallbore shooters. The Minneapolis Rifle Club hosted the 2017 Smallbore Prone Regional Championship. Turnout was light due to the rainy weather but a lot of good scores were posted. Saturday’s weather was cold and rainy. Winds were moderate, but good scores were posted. The fourth match was rained out! The targets were soggy and hard to score without tearing. The scoring crew did a great job! Sunday brought more rain but the temperatures were up a little. Unfortunately, the winds were very challenging especially at 100 yards. The Junior shooters performed very well for conditions. Stacey Tamulinas took the Gold Medal with a 2790-188X and Eric Hazelton shot a 2786-181X for the Silver Medal.
On a Special Note: Vincent Hirsch was given his 2016 Smallbore Aggregate MN Championship Trophy!
